Amgueddfa Cymru — National Museum Wales has seven museums across Wales with collections encompassing fine art, natural sciences, social and industrial history. The art collection at National Museum Cardiff is one of Europe’s finest encompassing five hundred years of magnificent paintings, drawings, ceramics and silverware from Wales and across the world. Works range from van de Capellle’s Dutch masterpiece A Calm through to works by Canaletto, Constable, Turner, the pre-Raphaelites and Gwen John. National Museum Cardiff has one of the finest collections of Impressionist and Post Impressionist works outside Paris, including major works by Monet, Cezanne, Renoir and van Gogh.
