Henry VI and his court, mid-15th century, (1843). The nobleman with the flowing beard is 'good duke Humphrey', Henry's uncle. The man kneeling behind the king is also an uncle - Henry, Cardinal Beaufort. From the tapestry in St Mary's Hall, Coventry, probably made before 1447, the date of Duke Humphrey's death.
