Effigy of King Henry II, 12th century, (1910). Henry's (1133-1189) tomb effigy from the Abbey of Fontevrault in Aquitaine near Anjou. The dalmatica reaches to the ankles, and has the usual wide sleeves. The mantle is fixed to the shoulder with a brooch.
