'Caesar Imperator!', 1861. ('The American Gladiators') The American Gladiators are President Lincoln on the left to represent the Northern States. The contest is presided over by a representative of the Southern slaves, indicating one of the main issues that divided the two sides, and that would lead to the American Civil War.
