It was often recognised that servants would help themselves to the master's wine and, in this cartoon, the boy servant Robert has ready the most plausible of explanations for being caught with the glass in his hand, stating Please 'M, I was - I was only just a goin' to wish Yours an' Master's wery Good 'Ealth 'M!
