Assassination of William McKinley, 25th President of the USA, 1901. On 6th September 1901, McKinley (1843-1901) President of the USA from 1896, was shot by Leon Czolgosz (1873-1901), an anarchist, while attending the Pan-American Exposition at Buffalo, New York. Mckinley died from his wounds 8 days later. Czolgosz was convicted of murder and executed in October 1901. From Le Petit Journal, (Paris, 22 September 1901).
