George Alexander (1858-1918), English theatrical actor-manager. Alexander as Orlando in Shakespeare's As You Like It. Considered an avant-garde performer, Alexander spent some years in Henry Irving's company. He presented performances of Oscar Wilde's Lady Windermere's Fan (1892) and Pinero's The Second Mrs Tanqueray.
