General Mikhail Vasilevich Alexeiev (1857-1918), Russian soldier, 1917. Alexeiev was appointed Chief of the Russian Imperial General Staff 1915, a post he held until sacked by Prime Minister Kerensky in June 1917. He organised the anti-Bolshevik Volunteer army after the 1917 Revolution.
