St Augustine of Canterbury (d604). Augustine was sent by Pope Gregory I to convert the Anglo-Saxons to Christianity. He is seen here preaching before Ethelbert (552?-616), Anglo-Saxon King of Kent whom he baptised in 597. Augustine was the first Archbishop of Canterbury.
