Pectoral showing the god Horus, Ancient Egyptian, 18th Dynasty, c1325 BC. A pectoral jewel of gold, semi-precious stone and faience showing Horus, the falcon-headed god, crowned with a sun disc with ankh, the symbol of life, attached to each claw. Once a great sky and sun-god, Horus became combined with Horus the son of Isis and Osiris. From the Treasure of Tutankhamun (ruled 1333-1323 BC), discovered in the pharaoh's tomb and today kept at the Cairo Museum, Egypt.
