Air Raid Precautions, cigarette card, British, 1938. The Service Respirator. This gas mask was issued to the armed forces and to members of the Air Raid Precautions service (ARP). It gave the same degree of protection as the Civilian Respirator but for a longer time. One of a set of 50 cards issued by WD & HO Wills in preparation for the anticipated coming of World War II.
