Hadrian, Roman Emperor from 117. Hadrian (Publius Aelius Hadrianus) (76-138) founded the city of Antinopolis in Egypt. His reign was also notable for the construction of the fortified wall that bears his name built across the north of England to keep out barbarian raiders. Portrait bust.
