'Portrait of a Lady', 1460. The costume suggests a date after 1460, perhaps around 1466. It also suggests that the sitter is a gentlewoman, rather than a member of the nobility. On the reverse is a painting of the head of 'Christ Crowned with Thorns' (probably from the workshop of Rogier van der Weyden). It is unusual, but not unparalleled, to find a religious image on the reverse of a portrait. From the collection of the National Gallery, London, United Kingdom.
