King Philip II of France (1165-1223), known as Philip Augustus, won the battle which was fought between the French army and a coalition of European powers, on July 27 1214, near the village of Bouvines in Flanders (now part of France). Card from a series produced by the chocolate factory at the Monastery of Aiguebelle.
