Henry Havelock, British soldier, c1857. Major-General Henry Havelock (1795-1857) took part in both reliefs of Lucknow (September and November 1857) during the Indian Mutiny. He died of dysentery a few days after the siege was finally lifted. Tinted lithograph from the cover of General Havelock's Indian March composed by Stephen Glover.
