Portrait engraving from the cover of sheet music published at the time of Napoleon III's (1808-1873) visit to London with Empress Eugenie in April 1855 and celebrating Franco-British cooperation during the Crimean War. The music included Partant pour la Syrie by the Emperor's mother Hortense Beauharnais, stepdaughter of Napoeon I.
