Philip II of Macedon, 212 AD. Medallion portrait of Philip (382 BC-336 BC), father of Alexander the Great who succeeded him as Alexander III of Macedon. This medallion shows the left side of Philip's his face; the right side was disfigured when he was struck in the eye at the siege of Methone in 354 BC.
