St Elizabeth of Hungary, St Catherine of Alexandria and St Rosalie of Padua, 1470-1500. Left to right: St Elizabeth of Hungary (1207-1231); St Catherine of Alexandria (d307); St Rosalie of Padua (13th century), receiving a rose from the Virgin. The figure towards the bottom of the picture is the Roman Emperor Maxentius (d312AD), who put Catherine to death.
