1-156-578 - Ann Ronan Picture Library/Heritage-Images

Philip IV, King of Spain, 1632-1636. Philip (1605-1665), pictured here in hunting dress, was king of Spain from 1621. His reign saw a decline in the economic and military fortunes of Spain, although historians are divided over the extent to which he was personally responsible for the situation. This portrait shows well the long face and chin that were distinguishing features of the Habsburgs.
