Destruction of Przemysl, Poland, by Austrians retreating from the Russian advance, World War I, 1914. Remains of one of two bridges over the San which were blown up. Przemysl fell to the Russians as they advanced westwards in the early stages of the war. The Central Powers recaptured the city in 1915.
