Henri Moissan, French chemist, c1900. Moissan (1852-1907) recovering diamonds after dissolving the iron surrounding them after the final stage in his production of artificial diamonds at the Edison workshops, Paris. He isolated the element fluorine in 1883. From Pearson's Magazine. (London, 1900).
