William Henry Bragg, English physicist, 20th century. The founder of X-ray crystallography, Bragg (1862-1942) is shown here using an X-ray spectrometer. In 1915, with his son (William) Lawrence Bragg ( 1890-1871) he shared the Nobel prize for physics.
