Patagonians in a 'toldo' or skin tent, 1830 (1839). On the right is the tomb of a child who has recently died and facing it are the stuffed skins of two horses which have been sacrificed. This illustration is from the expedition of HMS 'Adventure' commanded by Philip Parker King.
