Arthur Quiller-Couch, English poet, novelist, anthologist and critic, c1927. Quiller-Couch (1863-1944) was born at Fowey, Cornwall. He compiled The Oxford Book of English Verse 1200-1900 which was revised in 1939. He was appointed professor of English literature at Cambridge in 1912.
