'The Thames at Horseferry', c1710. View of London from the south bank of the River Thames; a coach and pair are being punted across the river while a naval barge close by fires a friendly salute. In the middle distance are Lambeth Marsh and Lambeth Palace with St Paul's Cathedral in the distance and Westminster Abbey just visible on the left. The horseferry plied its trade on the site of the current Lambeth Bridge.
