'Covent Garden Piazza and Market', c1725. This view is the first to show market buildings on the Piazza. In the foreground people shop at the stalls, with the elegant colonnaded buildings of the Piazza behind. There is still a market at Covent Garden today, selling more expensive art-and-craft items, and clothing and jewellery. Covent Garden is also famous for its Opera House, Coliseum and many of London's theatres.
