'The City from Bankside', 1820s. View looking north to St Paul's Cathedral from the south side of the River Thames. Men are loading barges with cut stone. The Lord Mayor's barge can be seen on the Thames to the right. London's Millennium Bridge, built in 2000, now runs across the Thames from the Tate Modern art gallery to St Paul's.
