'Glassblower', 1820s. A Whitefriars glassblower seated on a glassblower's chair and shaping the foot of a wineglass with tongs. The Whitefriars glassworks was situated between Fleet Street and the Thames, later moving to Tudor Road, Wealdstone, Harrow, closing in 1980.
