'Barclay and Perkins's Brewery in Southwark', c1840. Brewery entrance with horses pulling barrels. In the middle of the 19th century the Anchor Brewery was the largest in the world and covered over 12 acres on either side of Park Street, Southwark and had a wharf on Bankside. A baked potato stall can be seen in the right foreground.
