Stages in facial reconstruction of the bathrocranic skull. Building up the layers of muscle and skin using laser scanning and computer imaging. A computer plots various landmark points of the skull, followed by the generation of an approximation of the face of the deceased based upon the known thickness of facial muscle and skin. A bathrocranic skull has a pronounced bump at the back of the head.
