Woodcut from The Chronicle of Englonde, 1497. This was one of 600 titles, mostly religious and educational, published by Wynkyn de Worde, William Caxton's successor at Westminster, by 1535. It is thought that Wynkyn may have accompanied Caxton when he came to England.
