Lincoln's Inn, Old Buildings, late 20th century. These buildings, a college of lawyers, were built c1490-c1520. The irregular quadrangle is entered through the gatehouse, which dates from 1518. The number of admissions to the Inns of Court greatly increased during the reign of Elizabeth I.
