Commemorative punchbowl dedicated to John Wilkes, 1768. The radical MP John Wilkes enjoyed great popular following. On several occasions the London mob rose in his support and the streets resounded to cries of 'Wilkes and Liberty', which is the inscription on the side of this bowl.
