Una Dugdale addressing a small crowd of men at the Newcastle by-election, September, 1908. Dugdale's sisters, Joan and Daisy, were also suffragettes. Una accompanied Mrs Pankhurst on both of her Scottish tours. In 1912 she married Victor Duval, founder and Honorary Secretary of the Men's Political Union for Women's Enfranchisement, causing a stir when she refused to repeat the word obey in the marriage vows.
