View of the frozen River Thames off Three Cranes Wharf, London, 1814. The Thames froze from January 31st until the February 5th, 1814, and a fair was held on the ice, which was attended by many hundred persons. People are seen congregating around a number of large tents set up on the frozen surface. A barge is trapped in the ice.
