A policeman removes a suffragette poster from the railings, in the vicinity of the House of Commons, London, 19th March 1909. Plastering important places with its propaganda was a favourite WSPU tactic. The onlookers are evidently pleased with the policeman's actions. The poster concerns a Private Member's Bill not favoured by the WSPU, which did not pass its Second Reading in the House of Commons.
