Tazio Nuvolari at the Ulster TT race, 1933. Tazio Nuvolari engaged in conversation with Hugh McConnell, the race organiser. Nuvolari won the race, driving an MG Magnette.The Italian was one of the legendary figures of the 'golden age' of motor racing in the 1930s. The 'Flying Mantuan' as he was known, moved to car racing in 1924 after a successful career racing motorcycles. His skill and daring took him to 200 major race victories and he was European Grand Prix Champion in 1932.
