Karl Benz with his wife Bertha in a Benz-Viktoria, 1893. Karl Benz is on the right sitting next to his wife. His daughter sits opposite him next to a colleague Fritz Held. Benz's first car had only had three wheels, in order to aid steering. The Benz-Viktoria was his first car to have four wheels, and was manufactured by his company Benz and Co.
