David Dunbar Buick. Artist: Unknown

David Dunbar Buick. Originally born in Arbroath, Scotland, his family emigrated to America when he was two years old. In 1903 he formed the company Buick Manufacturing Company. By 1908 it had become the No.1 producer of automobiles in America surpassing the combined production of Ford and Cadillac. Due to financial difficulties it was incorporated into General Motors (GM) Conglomerate in 1908.
