The Colossi of Memnon, Luxor West Bank, Egypt, c1400 BC. These colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Amenophis III) stood in front of the mortuary temple that is now destroyed. Amenthotep III reigned between 1417 BC and 1379 BC.
