Burying a box containing copies of the Jewish Chronicle, London, 1955. A contemporary report from the paper stated that a box containing copies of the Jewish Chronicle and a number of its publications and those of Vallentine Mitchell & Co, was embodied in the foundations of a new Jewish Chronicle building at a brief ceremony on Tuesday. The site in Furnival Street EC, is adjacent to the buildings now occupied by various departments of the newspaper.
