Bagel sellers outside Bloom's, London, 1930s. Esther and Annie sold their bagels outside Bloom's kosher restaurant. The original Bloom’s was established in Brick Lane in 1920, and moved to the corner of Old Montague Street during the early 1930s. In 1952 it moved again, to Whitechapel High Street, and was finally closed in 1996.
