Sir John Sinclair of Ulbster, Scottish politician, lawyer and agricultural reformer, (1870). Sinclair (1754-1835) was a Member of Parliament and was the author of the vast 21 volume Statistical Account of Scotland published in 1791-1792. An engraving from Robert Chambers' A Biographical Dictionary of Eminent Scotsmen, Blackie and Son, (Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London, 1870).
