Lady Jane Grey, 16th century, (1896). After the death of the 15 year-old King Edward VI, the great-granddaughter of Henry VII, Lady Jane Grey (c1537-1554) reigned as uncrowned queen regnant of the Kingdom of England for nine days in 1553. She was deposed by Henry VIII's eldest daughter Mary, who had her executed for treason the following year.
