Marie Carteri, 1737, (1885). Cured on 4 September at the tomb of M[?] de Paris, all pain ceased. The next morning, on removing her bandage or blindfold, she noticed that the size of the fistules was slightly less, and that her eyes were no longer red or inflamed. After 8 days the slight swellings left in the corners of her eyes completely disappeared, and she was able to workin the fields with more strength than she had ever had.
