Winster Morris Dancers, Winster Wakes, Derbyshire, 4 July 1908. Photograph taken during one of British musicologist Cecil Sharp's (1859-1924) expeditions to collect English folk music and dances. The Morris is a traditional English folk dance in which participants wear white trousers and shirts, decorated hats, and bells, rosettes, or ribbons.
