Selfridge's department store, 400 Oxford Street, London, 1909. Selfridge's was founded by Harry Gordon Selfridge and opened in March 1909. It is a huge Ionic structure, designed by Daniel Burnham of Chicago. Just a single motor vehicle is driving past.
