Interior of the Corn Exchange, Mark Lane, London. Samples are seen here ready for inspection before the start of the day's trading. The Corn Exchange was first built in Mark Lane in 1749. It was extended and re-roofed on many occasions including the 1880s, and was badly bombed in 1941.
