Prehistoric monsters, Crystal Palace Park, Bromley, 1981. Statues of life-size prehistoric monsters dating from 1854 in Crystal Palace Park, Bromley. They were created by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins and they are the last remnant of the original Crystal Palace display in the park. In September 1852, Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins was commissioned by the Crystal Palace Company to build a series of prehistoric animal sculptures.
