Fleet Street, London, c1920-c1929, looking east from the corner of Shoe Lane towards the spire of St Martin without Ludgate in front of St Paul's Cathedral. The 1920s and 1930s were the heyday of the street's long association with journalism. The street is busy with pedestrians and vehicles. A shop in the left foreground advertises that 'Iron Jelloids, the Great Tonic' are sold there.
